FY2018 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) : The UPWP outlines the specific work tasks and related budget for MPO staff from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018. This update is available for public review and comment from October 24, 2017 through November 7, 2017. The UPWP will be discussed as a part of the formal agenda of the SJATSO Technical Committee on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 10:30 am. The Technical Committee meeting will be located at City Yards 2316 South 3rd Street, St. Joseph, MO 64501. The UPWP will be brought to the Coordinating Committee meeting on November 16, 2017 at 11:00 am for final approval and adoption. 2018-2021 TIP Amendment #1 Summary: Staff sent out a call for amendments to the 2018-2021 Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) on July 5th, 2017; this is the first scheduled amendment. The TIP includes all transportation projects in the metropolitan area that will receive federal funds or are regionally significant.  The proposed amendments were presented for approval and public release at the Technical Committee Meeting on September 14th. Staff will be collecting comments on this proposed amendment from the public for seven (7) days, starting Friday, September 15th and ending Friday, September 22nd. This Amendment is scheduled to be reviewed for final approval and submittal to MoDOT at the next scheduled Coordinating Committee meeting on September 28th. To view the summary, click here. 2017 Public Participation Plan Staff released the Public Participation Plan on May 9th. 2018-2021 TIP Final Draft for Public Release: Staff sent out a call for transportation projects in the metropolitan area that will receive federal funds or are regionally significant on January 13th, 2017. The 2018-2021 TIP reflects all of those projects for a 4 year period and demonstrates fiscal constraint. Staff is asking for public review and comments from March 7th to May 7th. The final draft will be presented to the Technical and  Coordinating Committees at the May meetings; members of the public are welcome to join us. FY2017 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) Amendment #1: The Unified Planning Work Program has been amended to include a new work task (2G) which involves using the Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA) INVEST program tool to examine the Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) and I-229 Bridge. FY2017-2020 TIP Amendment #2 was open for public comment from December 28th, 2016 to January 11th, 2017. The TIP Amendment is also on the SJATSO Technical Committee agenda for the January 12th meeting. Members of the public were welcome to submit comments on Amendment #2 to SJATSO Staff and/or attend the Technical Committee to voice comments.
